💔 Lala is struggling, and she needs us to show up for her.

The shelter is taking a toll on this sweet girl, and she’s starting to lose weight. We know Lala has so much more life to live outside these walls, and we want her to have the chance to feel safe, loved, and at home again. ❤️

Lala has already come such a long way. With patience and kindness, she’s learned to trust people and show off her sweetest side. She’s potty trained, loves toys, enjoys playing with other dogs, and is happiest when she can be right by your side. She even knows how to sit, lay down, and shake for treats!

Lala is looking for a home where she can continue to build confidence and finally relax. She would do best in a home without cats and with older children ages 13+ or no children. She may be a little nervous around new things at first, but give her time and she’ll show you just how loving and loyal she can be.

🏡 Can you be the person who gives Lala her chance? Whether you’re ready to adopt or can open your home to foster her, she needs a break from the shelter.

📩 Email [email protected] to learn about fostering, or contact CARE Humane Society to meet Lala!

Please share. Lala deserves a home where she can feel safe, loved, and cherished. ❤️🐾

Let’s make her happily-ever-after happen. 💕

🧺💕 A little basket full of love and the cutest faces!

Meet Elanor, Elvis, and Ezekiel! 🐶💗 These precious puppies came into our care before the hurricane, and we couldn’t resist sharing this adorable basket of sweetness with all of you!

With their tiny faces, floppy ears, and big puppy eyes, these little ones are a reminder that every puppy deserves a safe place to grow, plenty of love, and the chance to find a family of their very own. 🏡🐾

We’re so happy these sweet faces are part of our C.A.R.E. family! Help us give them and all the animals in our care the bright future they deserve. ❤️

🐾 Meet Elly, our pint-sized sweetheart 🐾

At just 7 weeks old, Elly is all floppy ears, big brown eyes, and pure puppy charm. She’s dressed for any occasion in a shiny black coat with a white bib, a little white chin, and four white socks, like she couldn’t decide between formal wear and pajamas, so she picked both.

That face says it all: curious, a little bashful, and absolutely certain you have a treat in your pocket. Elly is at the start of her big life adventure, and she’s looking for a family ready to guide her through all the puppy firsts: house training, learning her name, discovering squeaky toys, and figuring out that your lap is the best seat in the house.

Puppies are a big commitment, so Elly’s ideal people will have the time and patience for training, socialization, and plenty of naps (hers, and probably yours too). In return, you’ll get a loyal little shadow who grows up right alongside you.

Quarter is reaching out for his forever family! 🐾🪙

See that little white paw stretching toward you? That's Quarter saying, "Pick me!" This tuxedo cutie is dressed to impress and ready to meet the people he's been waiting for.

Quarter has a simple game plan: a quick round of toy-chasing and kitten wrestling, then straight to snuggle time. His playful bursts are short and sweet, and once he's worn himself out, he'll happily curl up right beside you.

This affectionate boy craves closeness. Scoop him up and you'll hear that sweet purr rev up almost instantly. 💕

He's not asking for much, just a hand to hold. Or a paw. 🐾

Flip a coin with Quarter: heads, he plays; tails, he cuddles. Either way, you win! 🪙

He won't settle for a piece of your heart. He's reaching for all four quarters.

✨ Quarter is in the kitten playroom now! Come by, take his paw, and see if he's the one for you. He's already reaching out; all you have to do is reach back. 🏡

🖤🐾 Black coats, big hearts, and so much love to give!

Did you know that black cats and dogs are often overlooked when it comes to adoption?

Whether it's because they don't stand out as much in photos or simply get passed by in favor of other colors, black shelter pets can have a harder time catching an adopter's attention.

But their coat color doesn't define their personality or the amazing companions they can become! 🐈‍⬛🐕

Today, we're shining a spotlight on some of the beautiful black cats and dogs currently in our care at CARE Humane Society. Each one deserves the same chance to be noticed, loved, and welcomed into a forever home. 💙

🖤 Take a closer look at our adoptable pets!
