Fire Department

10/27/2026

Tonight your Auburn Fire Department conducted a mock motor vehicle accident with multiple patients. We trained with our mutual aid partners The Chatham Fire Department and Virden Fire Protection District. each responded with an engine company. We worked on tactics, communication, incident command systems (ICS),and team work.

To do such an extensive hands on training we had to have a lot of volunteers out side of the Fire Department. We would like to thank Rob Berola and Tiffany Berola, Coy Grossner, Owen Clovin, Clay Edie, Chance Crissey, Aiden Robinson, Ricky Sponsler, and Joe Shores! They all participated in the training evolution as patients, or out side resources.

We also need to thank J.c. Mcclelland for allowing us to use his location and donating the cars!

Also would like to thank Gary Self, Ryan Bramley and Joe Bolletta with helping over see the evolution .

🚒 Auburn Fire & Rescue Department Update 🚒
From January 1st through October 1st, your Auburn Fire & Rescue Department responded to 479 calls for service.

These calls represent emergencies, accidents, medical incidents, fire alarms, public service calls, and times when members of our community needed help. None of this would be possible without the commitment of our dedicated volunteer firefighters and EMS personnel.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to our volunteers for their continued and unwavering dedication to serving the Auburn community. Their willingness to answer the call—day or night, in all types of weather, and often while balancing family and work responsibilities—is truly appreciated.

Thank you, Auburn, for allowing us to serve you.

What a great day at the Auburn Illinois Fire Protection District!

Thank you to everyone who came out to our Open House today. We’re always proud to open our doors to the community, show you the equipment we use, explain how we use it, and share why each piece plays such an important role in our mission.

Events like today are about more than fire trucks and equipment, they’re about connecting with the people we’re proud to serve every day.

A very special thank you to J.c. Mcclelland for donating the car for tje extrication demonstration, and Arch Air Medical Litchfield Base for joining us! The helicopter was definitely a highlight, and everyone enjoyed getting an up close look while learning more about the incredible capabilities your services bring to our area.

We couldn’t ask for a better community to serve.

Pride. Professionalism. Community.
