🚒 CONGRATULATIONS, FIREFIGHTER TIM COLEMAN! 🚒

Today we celebrate 25 years of dedicated service to the fire service by Firefighter Tim Coleman.

For a quarter of a century, Tim has answered the call, stood shoulder-to-shoulder with his brothers and sisters, and committed himself to serving those in their time of greatest need.

25 years. Countless calls. One incredible commitment to the job.

Tim, thank you for your dedication, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to the fire service and the people we serve. Your years of service have made a difference, and your brothers and sisters are proud to call you one of our own.

🔥 WE WILL NEVER FORGET 🔥

This past weekend, several members of IAFF Local 1352 made the trip to Colorado Springs to stand shoulder to shoulder with firefighters from across the United States and Canada at the IAFF Fallen Fire Fighter Memorial.

We were there for one reason: to honor our brother, Chief Bill Mack.

Chief Mack’s name was added to the Memorial Wall alongside 287 other fallen firefighters, including four additional firefighters from the Puget Sound region.

Hundreds of firefighters gathered together—not just as departments, locals, or unions, but as one fire service family.

There were stories shared about the brothers and sisters who came before us. There were handshakes, embraces, laughter, and plenty of tears. There were memories that reminded us of who they were beyond the uniform and the badge.

And there was a powerful reminder of what the fire service brotherhood truly means:

We take care of our own.

When one of us falls, we don't forget them.
When a brother or sister is hurting, we stand beside them.
And when their name is called, we answer.

Chief Mack may no longer be riding the rig, walking into the station, or standing beside his crew—but his name now stands permanently among the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice.

His brothers and sisters will carry that name forward.

We remember his service.
We honor his sacrifice.
We carry his legacy.

From the firehouses of the Puget Sound to the Memorial Wall in Colorado Springs, Chief Mack will always be one of our own.

Rest easy, Chief. We've got it from here.

🚒 STATION 36 IS OFFICIALLY OPEN! 🚒

Today marks an exciting milestone for the Valley Regional Fire Authority and the communities we proudly serve — Station 36 is officially open!

Valley Professional Firefighters Local 1352 and Valley Regional Fire Authority are incredibly excited to see this project come to completion and to move into a brand-new fire station designed to better serve our community for years to come.

This new station represents more than just a building. It represents an investment in our firefighters, our emergency response capabilities, and most importantly, the safety of the people we serve.

We are proud of the hard work, dedication, and partnership that went into making this project a reality, and we can't wait to call Station 36 home.

A new station. A new chapter. The same commitment to serving our community. ❤️‍🔥

🇺🇸 NEVER FORGOTTEN — 9/11/01 🇺🇸

Today, Valley Professional Firefighters Local 1352 joins firefighters, first responders, and communities across the nation in remembering the 343 members of the FDNY who made the ultimate sacrifice on September 11, 2001.

They ran toward danger while others ran away. They answered the call without hesitation, knowing only that someone needed help.

343 firefighters. 343 heroes. One sacrifice we will never forget.

We honor their courage.
We remember their sacrifice.
We stand with their families and loved ones.
And we carry their memory forward.

Today, we honor the working men and women who keep our communities moving forward. Labor Day is more than a day off—it’s a reminder of the strength, dignity, and solidarity of working people.

For firefighters, labor and management are partners in the mission. When we work together with mutual respect, open communication, and a shared commitment to finding solutions, we build stronger organizations and safer communities.

Different roles. Same mission. A safer tomorrow.

Today, IAFF Local 1352 proudly recognizes the contributions of workers everywhere and the generations of organized labor who fought for the rights, protections, and opportunities we benefit from today.

This past weekend, Local 1352 Valley Professional Firefighters, Valley Regional Fire Authority, friends, and family came together to celebrate the life of David Cook and honor a life dedicated to serving others.

For 35 years, Dave proudly served in the fire service. Throughout those years, he built friendships, shared countless calls and memories, and became part of a brotherhood that extends far beyond the firehouse. His impact reached well beyond the uniform, and the stories shared this weekend were a reminder of just how many lives he touched.

While we gathered with heavy hearts, we also gathered with gratitude—for the time we had with Dave, for the memories he left us, and for the example he set through a lifetime of service and dedication.

Dave, your watch is over. The alarm has sounded for the last time, but your legacy will live on in the people you served, the brothers and sisters you worked alongside, and the memories you left behind.

Rest easy, Brother.

There are many steps in the process of securing a career in Fire/EMS. Interviewing is a very important aspect of this process and can be intimidating to many individuals. King County Fire & EMS Agencies invite you to a free session aimed at improving interview skills with the goal of acing your Fire/EMS Service Interviews.

We are offering mock interview panels and personalized feedback to individuals currently pursuing a career in Fire/EMS. Additional opportunities include information on the hiring process, best practices for interview day, networking with professional first responders, and connecting with other prospective Firefighter/EMTs. We encourage people of color, immigrants, refugees, women, LGBTQIA+, people with disabilities, and veterans to attend and help us better represent the communities we serve.
