Additionally, I’m an outspoken advocate for local control of education funding and policy, while representing Auburn and surrounding districts at the state level. We must ensure our students receive a 21st century education that prepares them for a successful future, including communication, collaboration, and creative skills. We must support our staff by ensuring they have the resources and skillsets needed to effectively reach students. Sound local governance that focuses on providing a safe and vibrant learning environment for all children remains my commitment. I look forward to using my experience, knowledge and understanding of the complexities of State education funding and policy to serve the families and children of Auburn.
