🎩🧢 HATS OFF TO HEALTHY CHOICES!

Day 1 of Red Ribbon Week is in the books, and our Pick Elementary students and staff were HAT-tastic!

From cowboy hats to baseball caps and everything in between, we kicked off our Quest for Success in style!

We’re reminding our students that every great journey begins with making the right choices!

Day 1: Mission Complete! ✅

Tomorrow’s Mission: Rest Up for the Quest! Grab your favorite pajamas and get ready for Pajama Day!

Pick Elementary, are you ready?! 🎉 Red Ribbon Week kicks off tomorrow, October 20th! Get ready for four days of fun as we CHOOSE OUR PATH toward healthy, drug-free futures!

Tomorrow’s Mission: Hats Off to Healthy Choices! Wear your favorite hat!

DON’T FORGET OUR FRIDAY FOOD DRIVE! We’re teaming up for success by collecting canned goods for the Food Bank of East Alabama!

Every can counts! Each canned food item earns 1 point for your child’s Habit Team. Students are NOT limited to bringing just 2 cans—the more cans donated, the more points their team earns!

Let’s show what happens when our Pick Elementary family comes together to make a difference!

Let the Quest for Success begin!

Parents,
Our Habit of the Month is BEGIN WITH THE END IN MIND!
We are excited to recognize students who are demonstrating this habit at school, at home, and everywhere they go!
For our Too Good Tuesday segments on the school news, we would love to recognize students who are showing our Habit of the Month in action.
If you spot your child beginning with the end in mind, we would love to hear about it! Please email Mrs. Sides and tell us how your child is demonstrating this important habit.
Let’s celebrate our students for setting goals, making a plan, and working toward success! 🎉

🚧👷 CAUTION: Future Builders at Work! 👷🚧

Mrs. Mills and her intern, Mrs. Bowerman, transformed learning into a Construction Zone Day: Building Our Future!

Our students rolled up their sleeves and put their skills to work! They:
📏 Took measurements and practiced multiplication in math
✏️ Learned how to build strong sentences
📝 Followed the steps to build creative writing pieces
🧰 Built their very own toolboxes, compliments of The Home Depot
🍪 And ended their busy construction day with a special treat!

What a fun way to bring learning to life across the curriculum! These students weren’t just building toolboxes, they were building skills for a successful future, one lesson at a time!

A special thank you to The Home Depot for helping make this hands-on learning experience possible!
