PCWA Leadership Update!

At its June 18 meeting, the Placer County Water Agency Board of Directors elected Josh Alpine as Chair for the remainder of 2026, with Director Chris Wilson elected as Vice Chair.

The Board also recognized Director Robert Dugan for his leadership and contributions while serving as Board Chair in recent years. Director Dugan provided steady leadership and continuity during a period of significant agency initiatives and Board transitions.

At its June 18 meeting, the PCWA Board of Directors adopted key updates to the Agency’s long‑range water supply plans — the 2025 Urban Water Management Plan (UWMP) and the Water Shortage Contingency Plan (WSCP) — reaffirming that PCWA has both the resources and the strategy in place to meet current and future demands.

Building on that planning foundation, the Board directed staff to proceed with financing planning for the future Ophir Water Treatment Plant, a major regional facility that will expand treatment capacity and support projected growth in western Placer County.

Directors additionally selected new Board leadership for the remainder of 2026.

The Water Dawgs of PCWA battled it out recently at the 49th annual County Softball Tournament in Auburn.

It was a great day of friendly competition, team spirit, and family fun. Thanks to the Placer Public Employees Organization for helping keep the good times flowing with activities for all ages.
