Today we celebrate an extraordinary leader, mentor, and servant. 💙
After 12 years of faithfully serving as Executive Director, Dr. Joe Davis is retiring from Anchor House Ministries, leaving an enduring legacy that will continue to impact lives for generations. When Dr. Davis joined Anchor House in 2013, the ministry consisted of one campus serving boys in foster care with a team of just 12 employees. Through his vision, faith, and commitment to youth in crisis, Anchor House has grown from one campus into a multi-program ministry serving children and young adults across our community.
His leadership helped establish Polk County’s first transitional homes for young adults aging out of foster care, creating opportunities for stability, independence, and hope for those who needed it most. Above all, Dr. Davis has been dedicated to ensuring every young person who walks through our doors knows they are seen, valued, and deeply loved.
Dr. Davis, thank you for your years of faithful service, your compassion, your leadership, and the countless lives you’ve impacted. While your retirement marks the end of an incredible chapter, your legacy will continue to shape the future of Anchor House for years to come.
Please join us in celebrating Dr. Davis and wishing him blessings as he begins this next season. 🫂
