25 years later, we remember the lives lost, the heroes who answered the call, and the sacrifices that will never be forgotten.

Today, the Audubon Park Fire Department honors all those impacted by September 11, 2001—especially the 343 FDNY firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice.

🇺🇸 Same Courage. Same Sacrifice. Never Forgotten.

Last evening Probationary Firefighter Nakamoto was sworn in by Captain Wyatt. PFF Nakamoto has been a part of our department for over a year and had successfully completed the 180+ hours of training at the Fire Academy in 2025. Congratulations to PFF Nakamoto. Keep up the great work!

🚨 SUNDAYS ARE FOR TRAINING. 🚨

While others are watching football, and relaxing, we’re putting in the work.🔥

Today, Captain Wyatt worked with PFF Doto and our four newest Junior Firefighters on the fundamentals:

🔥 One-Minute Drills
🚒 Apparatus Familiarization
💧 Hydrant Familiarization

At Audubon Park, every member has a role. Every member has a purpose.

Our Junior and probationary members may not be interior-qualified yet, but their work on the fire ground matters. They’re learning the equipment, building their skills, and preparing for the responsibilities ahead.

For our Juniors, this is where the journey begins.

At 18, they’ll have the opportunity to attend the fire academy, complete 180+ hours of training, and work toward becoming interior-qualified firefighters.

No experience? No problem.
Show up. Put in the work. Learn the job. 🔥
