Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 3! Eligible Maine voters can vote using Maine’s safe, secure and easy absentee voting system.

Request your ballot online at absenteeballotrequest.sos.maine.gov

Reminder: Completed ballots must be received by your municipal clerk by 8 p.m. on Election Day, Nov. 3.

Ballots can be returned by U.S. mail, by drop box (if available) or by returning them directly to your municipal clerk.

If you plan to use the U.S. mail to receive or return your absentee ballot:

➡ Request your ballot no later than Oct. 19.
📬 Mail your completed ballot no later than Oct. 27.

Outside that window? Drop off your ballot in person at your municipal office or via an absentee ballot drop box (if available) by 8 p.m. on Nov. 3.

If you have any concerns about your ballot, you can contact your municipal clerk or registrar.

You can also vote in person at your local polling station on Election Day! Maine offers same-day voter registration at all polling locations.

It was great to be inside the classroom again! The kids were funny and curious. They had so many questions for me. I was happy to learn about the Constitution they drafted themselves. 👨🏻‍🏫

It’s National School Lunch Week! Thank you to the staff who keep Maine students nourished and ready to learn.

This year, I was proud to vote to expand our school statewide lunch program so kids in off-site public preschool programs get breakfast, lunch and a snack, ensuring no child has to learn on an empty stomach.

Maine’s heritage industries, like farming, play such an important role in our families, communities and economy. This year, I was proud to sponsor a bill to improve mental healthcare for Mainers in our heritage industries who are so often overlooked.

On Indigenous Peoples’ Day, we honor the Wabanaki Nations, their deep history and ongoing contributions to Maine.

I will continue to support tribal sovereignty in the Legislature. This year, I proudly voted to increase legislative representation for the Wabanaki Nations and exempt them from certain state taxes, following the practice of other states.

Last year, about 44,000 Mainers participated in the Low Income Assistance Program (LIAP) for discounted electric rates — but over 20,000 more were eligible.

Now, the state will automatically enroll eligible families in LIAP if they’re already enrolled in other state assistance programs like SNAP, TANF and MaineCare. The discount amount will vary by income and electricity provider, but customers could receive up to 83% off their monthly bill.

Lowering costs is a top priority of mine in the Legislature, and I’m proud to have voted to support ongoing funding for LIAP.

Last week, Senator Henry Ingwersen and I had the honor of presenting the FMI team in Biddeford with a legislative sentiment recognizing their outstanding accomplishment — winning the Impact Award at the inaugural Maine Science Awards. Our visit included a tour of the facility, where we learned firsthand about the organization's dedication to developing our local workforce. Many thanks to everyone at FMI for showing us around, and congratulations again on your well-deserved recognition!
