Excellent observers may have noticed that our Children's Room stuffies Morris the moose and Fenway the fox were away from the library last weekend 👀 They hit the road with our former library aide Kathy Petersen on the 2026 Maine Library Passport Challenge! Our favorite moose and fox explored libraries up north and came back with new friends and all kids of ideas for our cozy space. We'll see, guys.

Introducing...The Blind Date with a Book Fundraiser and pop-up Cookie Sale! 😍🍪📚📖🎁🥰

Do you enjoy surprises? Looking for a cute gift? Purchase a Blind Date with a Book with the knowledge that it benefits Friends of Lithgow Library!

In addition to a gently-used book, you will receive all sorts of goodies! There will be a variety of books to choose from, and each book will have a basic phrase to give you a hint as to the book’s identity/genre. Prices will vary from $15 to $25 per book. Ask at the Circulation Desk to look at the choices!

This fundraiser will be CASH or Venmo only while supplies last. The Cookie Sale is by donation, cash or Venmo, until supplies last.

A huge thank you to our wonderful and talented Library Aide, Angelia, who created all of these treasures with creativity and care! ♥

Thank you to everyone for coming to our puzzle contest today! Congratulations to our winning team, Danielle & Ewan, who completed their 500 piece puzzle in just an hour and 5 min! The second place team, Sam & Sandlin, finished theirs in an hour and 16 min! Everyone did such a great job! 😄🧩

Lithgow Library is having a puzzle sale and is seeking donations of gently used puzzles for all ages!

They need to be in good condition with all pieces included.

We will accept donations between now and the sale (TBD 2027).

The puzzles will be sold to benefit the Friends of Lithgow Library. Thank you for your donations!
