Maine Career Exploration Growing our workforce. For Maine. In Maine. We can pay up to 75 hours for a student’s work experience with your company!

Our goal is to introduce thousands of Maine's young people to future work options & prepare them for successful careers here in Maine. The Maine Career Exploration Program's mission is to introduce Maine's young people to the workforce by connecting them with paid work experiences. Since its launch in October 2022, the program has connected more than 6,000 participants with paid work experiences. A $25 million grant pays for work experiences of all kinds, for ages 16-24 and all Maine businesses are eligible to participate. Let's grow our workforce and provide a strong foundation for our future economy!

We’re hiring a Regenerative Agriculture Professional to work alongside farmers and agricultural partners in Aroostook County.

This new position will help connect commercial potato growers and other producers with UMaine research, resources and practical solutions that support resilient and productive agricultural systems.

The person in this role will work directly with farmers, UMaine researchers, the Maine Potato Board, Extension colleagues and other partners—providing technical assistance, identifying emerging needs and helping shape future educational programming.
