If you are behind in your rent or facing eviction, you may be eligible for assistance from the Eviction Prevention Program. mainehousing.org/EPP

MaineHousing offers the Maine Eviction Prevention Program and Bangor Public Health & Community Services has staff who can assist with filling out the application needed to avoid eviction proceedings.

If you rent your primary home in Bangor, or elsewhere in Maine, and are behind in your rent or facing eviction, you may be eligible for assistance from the Eviction Prevention Program. The program will cover past due rent and provide rental assistance going forward for as long as a year.

To qualify you must meet certain requirements around income and monthly rent level. This is a new program, and even if you received funds through a previous program, you would need to complete a new application to be eligible for this new Eviction Prevention Program.

For more information, contact Bangor Public Health at 207-992-4530.
