"Wanted Wednesday Alert"

Your community needs your eyes! This week we're seeking information on individuals from this photo who is connected to various incidents.

We know some of these pictures are not the best, we are doing what we can with what we have. I know people are often curious about why we are looking for the people in these cases and often the assumption is shoplifting (which we get because the photos are usually of store cameras). We do not post about why we are looking for people to protect the integrity of the case. We could be looking for someone because of an assault, hit and run, credit card fraud, forgery, or a theft; using the store's cameras or home security cameras are often the best we to ID someone.

Augusta Police Department encourages parents and caregivers to get their car seats checked by a Child Passenger Safety Technicians to help determine the right seat for their child and demonstrate how to correctly install and use those seats. For more information, please go to: https://www.maine.gov/dps/bhs/safety-programs/child-passenger-safety/car-seat-inspection-locations

Parents and caregivers can model safety for their kids. Research shows there is a strong correlation between caregivers who buckle up and their child passengers’ seat belt use. In 2024, of the child passengers killed in crashes while riding with an unbuckled driver, 65% of those children were also unbuckled.

Every season brings new adventures and plenty of growing! As your child reaches their next milestone, remember to check that their car seat is the right fit for their age and size.
