We’re proud to recognize the Rotary Club of Aurora United for their continued commitment to our community through the Fox Valley Park District’s Adopt-A-Trail/Park Program! The Rotary team adopted a section of Gilman Trail West, including the area formerly known as Rotary Park, and dedicated their time to picking up litter and removing debris along the trail. Their hard work helps keep our trails clean, safe, and enjoyable for everyone in our community throughout the year.

Thank you, Rotary Club of Aurora United, for your continued support, service, and dedication to making a difference in our parks and natural spaces!

Is your organization interested in getting involved? Contact Ivan Chambers at [email protected] to learn how you can adopt a trail or park.

Nearly six decades after first plunging into the competition pool at age 8, Fox Valley Riptides head coach Nancy Hooper is an Illinois Swimming Hall of Famer. Nancy’s journey is anything but ordinary — from elite swimmer to pediatric nurse and mom, to one of Illinois’ most accomplished age-group coaches. Since becoming the first coach of the Riptides in 2017, she’s helped young swimmers grow from beginners into state champions, national record holders and more.
