The days are shorter and the nights are colder. It's time to put your veggie garden to bed. That means removing all the dead plant material (most of it is compostable!), draining, storing the hose and covering the bed with a blanket of leaves or straw. That blanket will keep your soil "cozy" and retain more moisture over the winter.
