This week, I was overwhelmed by so many kind words, thoughtful gestures, and expressions of appreciation, all for doing a job that I truly love.

Some days are exhausting, and the work isn't always easy. There are challenges, long days, and moments that test us. But there are also countless reminders of why this work matters, and more importantly, why the people we get to do it with matter so much.

One of the greatest privileges of being a principal is getting to see the incredible things happening in our school every day. I get to witness the kindness, dedication, and care that make The Wheatlands such a special place. And while this week was about recognizing me, I hope you all know how much I appreciate each of you and the role you play in making our school what it is.

At the end of the day, there's nowhere I'd rather be than right here at The Wheatlands, serving our amazing students, families, and staff. I feel incredibly fortunate to be part of this community, and I don't take that privilege for granted.

Thank you for making me feel so appreciated this week, and for giving me so many reasons to love what I do every day.

With heartfelt gratitude,

Mr. Garett Fair

Reminder: Elementary School Dates and Parent/Teacher Conferences
Dear TW Families,
We have received several phone calls regarding the school calendar, so I wanted to share a quick reminder to ensure everyone has the most up-to-date information.
An earlier version of the district calendar shared at the beginning of the year listed October dates for Parent/Teacher Conferences. This has since been corrected, and we want to make sure all families have the accurate information.
Elementary students will have school on October 22 and October 23. Parent/Teacher Conferences for The Wheatlands Elementary will take place on November 19 and November 20.
For your convenience, you can access the updated school calendar here: View the Updated District Calendar.

Thank you for your patience and understanding. We appreciate your help in keeping everyone informed!
Best regards,Mr. Fair

Community Conversation at The Wheatlands w/ Aldermann Bugg – October 19th (6:30PM)
Good afternoon, Wheatlands Community,
I’m excited to share that The Wheatlands will be hosting a community conversation with Alderman Bugg on October 19 at 6:30 PM. The discussion will focus on the facility conditions of our schools, particularly those in Aurora, as part of the district’s education blitz surrounding the referendum.
I’m excited for our community to come together to discuss this important topic, learn more about what our district is working to accomplish, and engage in thoughtful, productive dialogue. This is an opportunity to hear different perspectives, ask questions, share concerns, and gain a better understanding of the challenges and goals surrounding our school facilities.
Event Details
Date: October 19Time: 6:30 PMLocation: The Wheatlands Elementary SchoolParking: Please park in the staff parking lot.Entrance: Enter through Door 13.
I hope you’ll consider joining us for this conversation. Open dialogue and community involvement are important, and I look forward to welcoming our Wheatlands families and community members for this discussion.
