Graduation 07/31/2019

We are so proud of each and every one of these cadets. Not only did they last the heat and the elements, they all went out of their comfort zone to learn, see and experience things that they normally wouldn't have been able to do. Each cadet took pride in everything that they did and their willingness to learn was exceptional. Thank you for allowing your cadet to come to the first Aviation Training for League Cadets and we hope that they learned a lot, had fun and will tell their fellow shipmates all about it. Congratulations to our honor cadet, Cadet Carrithers, who showed exceptional leadership, was always taking notes and always attentive with his questions and willingness to help and promote the Sea Cadets.

Grand Junction Air Show 07/31/2019

Cadets had the opportunity to spend the day at the Grand Junction Air Show, where they saw static exhibits of airplanes, participate in a Navy VR Simulator of a SWIC Boat rescue, meet some sailors, seabees and academy cadets. They also got to meet a few more of the Blue Angels crew, pilots, and withered the 98 Degree weather like champs. Their reward, a front row seat to the Blue Angels Performance. You should have heard some of them watching the show! They impressed so many in attendance to the show and your Aviation Training Staff got so many compliments about each one of them.

First day in Grand Junction 07/30/2019

On the cadets first full day in Grand Junction we started off attending a Q & A session with the pilot of Blue Angel 6, LCDR Webb and Crew Chief AO2 Kittles. The cadets asked insightful questions and learned some amazing facts about the Blue Angels. We also had the honor of talking to the SEAL Chief Petty Officer who brought along 4 of his DEP Sailors. In the afternoon cadets traveled to the airport to visit the Commemorative Air Force Museum and learned about WW2 aviation and even got to see the TBF Avenger Torpedo Bomber from WW2! And even got to sneak a peak at the Blue Angels Practice
