Carlos' battle with pancreatic cancer left him homeless and struggling.

Thanks to 211, St. Vincent DePaul, and our amazing network of community partners, Carlos and his family got back on their feet.

👉Now? Carlos works as a Community Resource Specialist for Prairie State Legal Services - referring clients to the very same resources he used in his time of need.

Stories like this fuel the work we do every day. Thank you, Carlos, for letting us be a part of your story!

A huge THANK YOU to imagination print & design for their amazing donation of $925 to Dolly Parton's Imagination Library in honor of !

We are blown away by your support and generosity! 🩷 🩷 🩷

I've always adored Dolly. Her heart and giving nature are one of a kind. She believed in giving generously, dreaming big, and making a difference in the lives of children and those around her. And with a name like Imagination, there is definitely a bond there. In her honor, we are donating $925 to the Imagination Library of Fox Valley United Way, which sponsors books for 27 children for 1 year.

How will you ??

Here are a few fun ideas for how you can partner with us on 9/25 to raise money for our local Imagination Library Program:

-🙋❓Host a Dolly Trivia Night with friends and family! Assign a dollar amount to each question, and encourage participants to donate for each question they answer correctly.

- 🍷☕Invite your circle over for a Happy Hour or Coffee Hour - with 'tips' as donations!

- 📖Host a family story time at your home, park, or local library. Make a goal to match the number of children who attend with donations ($34/year/child).

Try one of these ideas out- or engage your circle in your own way - and let us know how it goes! Email [email protected] to share.
