This holiday season, Asian Pacific American (APA) organizations in Colorado & Colorado Asian Culture & Education Network (CACEN), as well as other community partners (*identified below) are teaming up again to bring joy to senior citizens in our community. We are hosting our 6th annual HOLIDAY GIFT BAG DONATION DRIVE benefiting APA and other seniors in need throughout the greater Denver area. We hope to deliver at least 400 gift bags to seniors across the Denver metro area, including seniors at the Volunteers of America Sunset Tower and Sunset Park apartments, Nepalese Senior Center, and the Happy Living Adult Daycare Center in Aurora.

We invite you to fill gift bags with different types of items and handwritten holiday notes/cards for the seniors. This is a great community service project for groups at home, work, and school; and you will enjoy knowing you made a difference in the life of a senior citizen!

Thank you to Miriam Tsai, Northfield High School student leader, for providing plants and flowers to our seniors as her CAS (creativity, activity, service) project in her IB program.

We are so touched by the outpouring of love and care for our seniors at Happy Living and Wellness - Adult Daycare 喜樂成人日間活動中心 and all of the community support we have received as we work to repair damages and rebuild our center.

Last week on September 22nd, our building was broke into and vandalized. The perpetrator destroyed our fencing unit and threw it into a glass window. They also completely damaged our business signage which is located at the entrance of the complex.

Grateful to have exceeded our goal amount! And we will use those extra funds to fix other issues at Happy Living (such as the AC unit), investing in a better camera/security system, fix the locks on the doors, and installing more lights and motion sensors around the buiilding. THANK YOU! 🙏
