With deep gratitude and emotion, we pay tribute to Pope Francis—an unwavering witness of peace and a bridge between faiths. His dedication to dialogue, especially with Muslims, forged a path of fraternity that we, as volunteers of the Hizmet movement, have been honored to walk alongside. His words and deeds resonated deeply in our work, just as his unforgettable 2016 correspondence with Fethullah Gülen inspired countless interfaith gatherings.
Today, as we entrust him to the Lord with prayers and gratitude, we embrace his legacy: We will continue sowing hope, weaving dialogue, and laboring for a reconciled world—just as he and Gülen taught us. May their dream—a humanity united in love and respect—live on through the actions we leave for future generations.
Rest in peace, Pope Francis.

Reflections on a Meaningful Evening
What a wonderful and deeply needed conversation we had last night. This panel was not just an event—it was a space for healing, understanding, and connection. Once again, we were reminded of the importance of interfaith dialogue and how much our hearts are intertwined, across traditions, across experiences, and across our shared commitment to justice and compassion.
We listened, we learned, and we reaffirmed our promise: we will show up for one another.
One of the participants beautifully captured the essence of the evening by compiling notes from the discussion and asking ChatGPT to transform them into a poem. Here is the closing reflection poem inspired by our AI…
Closing Reflection
In God's image, we are made,
A family dreaming, unafraid.
Stewards of earth, with hands to mend,
A trust to cherish, a gift to tend.
Showered in verses, a sacred call,
Echoing justice, embracing all.
A lesson in grace, in love, in light.
Dimensional justice, woven tight,
Interconnected—wrong and right.
How I bear God’s name each day,
Is in the love I give away.
To neighbor, stranger, those in need,
We’re called to act, to plant the seed.
The gifts we hold are not our own,
But meant to share, to love, to grow.

A Night of Unity and Friendship
Last night, the Multicultural Mosaic Foundation and Augustana Church came together for a special Iftar dinner at Mosaic. It was an evening filled with heartfelt conversations, meaningful dialogue, and the strengthening of connections and friendships.
Attendees had the opportunity to learn about Ramadan traditions, ask questions, and engage in discussions that fostered mutual understanding and respect. Sharing a meal is a powerful way to bring people together, and we were honored to have Augustana at our table.
Events like these remind us of the beauty of coming together as a community, embracing diversity, and building bridges across cultures and faiths. Thank you to everyone who joined us for this memorable evening!
