Our team gathered yesterday with First Army at Joint Force Headquarters (JFHQ) in Centennial, CO for our Joint Quarterly Training.

Training theme: developing staff skills & building “go to war” products. Given realistic mission sets, each battalion built running estimates, religious area assessments, religious impact assessments, Tab D’s, and religious support matrices to brief to senior COARNG leaders.

Goal: to develop staff skills necessary for complete mission integration.

We appreciate the team from First Army traveling from Washington and our senior leaders for dedicating time to improve our team’s readiness.

“Our full-time Colorado Army National Guard pilots have thousands of flight hours navigating the Rocky Mountains at altitudes ranging from 6,500 to 14,200 feet, and we are reaching new heights by providing realistic and relevant training with NASA for Artemis,” said HAATS 1st Sgt. Joshua Smith.

NASA, Army National Guard Partner on Flight Training for Moon Landing - NASA NASA and the U.S. Army National Guard are using military helicopters to develop a foundational lunar lander simulated flight training course to help astronauts practice flight and landing procedures for the Moon.

Its been a busy year for our hoist rescue teams.

Park rangers, Colorado National Guard rescue climber injured in fall in Rocky Mountain National Park Park rangers and members of the Colorado Army National Guard rescued a man who fell while climbing in the Rocky Mountain National Park.

Soldiers of Bravo Battery (BIGHORN) participated in a Change of Command ceremony from outgoing Commander CPT Mark Rowan to incoming Commander CPT Nathan Reinoehl.
CPT Rowan, your leadership guided, and inspired Soldiers to make sound decisions, achieve shared goals and understanding, and fostered a a positive and productive environment. Destined to climb!
