Cherry Creek State Park, Colorado Parks and Wildlife Cherry Creek State Park offers a wide variety of outdoor recreational opportunities for families and outdoor enthusiasts.

A scenic oasis in the Denver area offering a wide variety of water and land activities for outdoor enthusiasts. The 4,200-acre park and modern campground are open year-round. View birds and wildlife, recreate or relax with the majestic Rocky Mountains as a backdrop. The mission of Colorado Parks and Wildlife is to perpetuate the wildlife resources of the state, to provide a quality state parks system, and to provide enjoyable and sustainable outdoor recreation opportunities that educate and inspire current and future generations to serve as active stewards of Colorado's natural resources.

🚨10/15 BOATING ALERT: Cherry Creek Reservoir Buoy Removal🚨

If you’re heading out to Cherry Creek State Park this weekend, head’s up! We are headed into the end of our boating season, so we will begin pulling buoys from the reservoir this Friday 10/16. Please use extreme caution while boating for the next couple of weeks.

Water Levels are LOW, and are only getting lower.

PLEASE DO NOT POWER LAUNCH OR LOAD YOUR BOATS.

The East Boat Ramp is still open! It is open:
Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 7am-7pm.
Monday through Thursday from 8am-6pm.
West Boat Ramp is closed for the season.

The reservoir will close to all boating at the end of day on November 1st.

Watch the end of the ramp: Colored tape on the dock marks exactly where the concrete boat ramp ends. If you back up past that tape, your trailer may drop off a steep underwater ledge.

Beware of the Marked and Unmarked Hazards: As water levels continue to decrease, more hazards will present themselves. Inboard motor operators should use extreme caution, water levels may be too shallow to launch!
