The 89th Texas Legislature established the Texas Regulatory Efficiency Office, part of the Office of the Governor. TREO is tasked with reviewing Texas state agency rules to reduce regulatory burdens and increase transparency for Texans.
TREO has recently worked with TREC and identified rules it recommends be modified or repealed.
Stakeholders have until Sunday, June 14, to provide comments to TREC about these recommendations. TREC will share the feedback with TREO as part of TREC’s evaluation.
This is a process separate from TREC’s rulemaking process and does not replace or augment the existing rule changes and proposals currently out for public comment.

📣 PSA: We will never text you.
💬 License holders are receiving text messages and phone calls spoofing our main line to inform them of a "safety" violation. We don't regulate "safety," and we don't text you as an official method of communications.
🧑🏾💻One more tip for our Facebook folks: This is the official account TREC uses to communicate. Any individual who claims to be affiliated with TREC and offers to help you is a scam. Staffers do not use personal profiles to assist consumers or license holders.
