What's going on with Musk and Trump?
When Musk's full-throated endorsement of Trump for President finally happened, I thought he had lost his mind, or had possibly been bribed in some way (but how do you bribe the richest guy in the world?), or hypnotized. It was so weird that this dude who brought the concept of electric cars into reality as the rest of the auto industry watched flat footed and incompetent, as he did the impossible, against all odds and naysayers, with a nationwide infrastructure of charging stations, batteries that worked great, and self-driving technology that still scares the sh[t out of every regulator in the hallowed halls of legislatures.
In the meantime, when Musk had spare time, he was also taking over the space program, landing numerous government contracts, leaving NASA scratching their butts and wondering how this crazy guy was outdoing them. After all, NASA has the full force and backing of the most powerful gubbment on the planet, blah blah blah.
Then Twitter. Don't get me started on that. It's just a sideshow anyway. Or at best a megaphone. Which is important to control, but. . .you know.
What is really going on here? Why is Musk endorsing Trump?
It came to me last night, thanks to Mozart and a few good hours of sleep.
Musk's priorities haven’t changed at all. He is thinking so far outside the box that nobody in the media, or politics has a clue.
Elon Musk still believes that the planet is in sad shape and requires drastic measures to avoid destroying its own self. This is why he started the electric car and battery business long ago. This is why he got into the space program -- To do all the stuff that governments bicker and wring their hands about and do nothing about because they are too busy rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic, or promoting their god, their power base, their race, their party, their greed, et. al. It's an old story which we don’t need to dwell on here.
Elon Musk, I believe, realizes that, AS THE RICHEST GUY ON EARTH, there is, perhaps, a certain amount of responsibility. With such a huge pile of cabbage, the fickle finger of fate inevitably points directly at you. It can't be avoided, especially when you like being noticed as Musk does. Most rich industrialists or just rich guys in general, actually don't give a flying f*ck about the world and the people on it. They just want to be free to accumulate their riches and hoard them somewhere and buy more mansions, more yachts, more beautiful women (or men, if that's your thing) and fancy cars and party till they all flame out in a flash of gluttony.
But this isn't Musk's thing. His priorities haven’t changed. Just his methods. He saw an opportunity and decided to take it.
The opportunity was that Trump had created a cult like following of people who, to his astonishment, literally believed anything he said, even though they might not understand a word of it. You may have seen the YouTube videos of pathetic losers that are attracted to the Trump rallies being interviewed by 20 something reporters, asking them simple questions about things like IVF or NATO or NFTs or any other acronym. It always gets down to "what does Trump think about it? Whatever he says, that’s what I support. I don't have to know what it is because I trust him."
It's sounds insane when you hear and see it happen right there on camera. The sheer stupidity and mental laziness that these people all seem to be infected with. It really does look like hypnosis.
And Trump himself, well, he's not the sharpest pencil in the box and is a nonstop liar, and he's leading them! He's too lazy to actually find out stuff like what is In Vitro Fertilization, or why is the North Atlantic Treaty Organization important, or why is Ukraine necessary, or Israel, even?
Naaaaa. Trump is the eternal clown, just making sh[t up all day long, even when it’s obvious he's lying, refusing to admit he’s wrong about anything.
So here comes Elon Musk who, as noted earlier, has a point of view from way outside the box. He was able to see the actual train wreck of our future that was going to happen if Trump won the election and carried through on his promises to "drill baby drill" and ignore the hoax of climate change and party like its 1999, r**e and pillage the earth until there is no more and civilization is snuffed out like a candle flame.
It was obvious that Trump, when elected, would just fill his cabinet with people who would do what he said as any true sycophant will, just for the money, the fame, or tickets to the end times. (This is why the Christian right follow him so religiously. He's their ticket to Armageddon, which finally gets them off this horrible planet and into heaven on the fast train as promised in Revelations.)
Fortunately, Trump is old. Probably teetering into senility. And vain. So, so vain. This makes him so, so easy to manipulate. And this is where Elon Musk saw the opportunity to turn this aircraft carrier of state around before it was really too late.
But it would require a sacrifice, as important things always do. Of course, it was going to cost a lot of real money, not an issue for the Richest . . . crap. Time for a new acronym to safe space here. How about ERG ("Earth's Richest Guy"). Yeah. We'll go with that.
The true sacrifice would be a personal one, not just for ERG, but one that Elon himself had to make, personally. These are always the hardest ones to do because they affect YOU, the inner man, the EGO, the SOUL, Theta, Entity, whatever you like to call it. The guy that lives inside your skin and makes the meat puppet it inhabits do what it does.
Elon realized that he would have to turn himself into an utter fool, like he had lost his mind and suddenly jumped on the Trump band wagon like all the other idiots, both willful, (members of Congress, for example) and the real ones who really don't have two spare brain cells to rub together. They just like the excitement of the rallies, finally that welcome haters, bigots, racists, along with everybody else into the "big tent."
Elon would have to go to these disgusting rallies, jump around like a high school cheer leader and look like some autistic person that Trump himself has often besmirched in the past (formerly known as a "re**rd", but no longer used, of course because of its political incorrectness)
By doing all this, all the while lathering Trump up with praise and money, as ERG he would curry the favor not only of the emperor with no clothes, having the reigning ERG bow at his feet, but all the people who believe and follow his every word. And this last thing, was, like BAKED In. Elon wouldn't have to convince any of them to love electric cars or the importance of looking for another rock to move to when this one became a cinder, or the importance of saving whales, honeybees and the polar ice packs, coral reefs, etc., etc. -- all the sh[t that Trump MAGAs don't give a flying f*ck about.
He would get all these people (i.e., votes) for free, and suddenly they would, perhaps, unknowingly, be supporting everything that he, Elon Musk, believes in and knows to be so, so crucial to our continued position at the top of the food chain.
So, the plan became cynically, stupidly simple.
1 Get Trump elected.
2 Trump awards ERG with whatever position he wants in the cabinet. Maybe Sec of State. interior? Energy? A Czar of something new?
3 ERG, in his new, official capacity within the most powerful gubbment on earth, begins to reorganize and redirect the entire force and power fo the most powerful gubbment on earth into things that are really important: doing as much as possible to divert or delay the horrors we all know are coming; that anyone with a brain and a connection to a TV, or the internet, or, well, anyone who is paying attention to how much worse storm seasons, fire seasons, how hot the water is when you go to the beach. . . disasters that anyone can plainly see happening right now, in their own neighborhood perhaps, or them personally, if you're in FL, GA , TX ,SC ,NC ,CA ,AZ ,ETC. . .

It’s really too bad Elon didn't have this epiphany a few months earlier. The way it’s all been rolled out at the last minute has turned into a serious cluster f*ck and will probably not work.
Which is OK too. If the Democrats win, everything to avert the disasters outlined above will happen anyway. It will just be harder, with a lot more whining, infighting, and outright sabotage by the bad loser Trump and his cult of idiots, his MAGA.
Who knows, if the electoral college coin flip close election comes up blue for the Democrats, maybe Elon with change his stripes and put shoulder to the wheel in the new Harris/Walz administration.
Now, do you feel better about the future? I do.
But still, go and VOTE! Because I could be totally wrong. I fully endorse Harris/Walz for the big house. It’s the safest choice, I believe.

Well, that was a surprise. But, hey, that's what the girl wants. That's what she gets!
