Two PTA gatherings on Wednesday, October 14!

8:00 AM – Special PTA Meeting
We'll hold a brief meeting to vote on an Austin Council of PTAs (ACPTA) resolution related to the potential TEA intervention. We need to hold this vote in the morning so Brentwood can cast its vote at the ACPTA meeting later that afternoon. More information, including the link to the resolution, is on the Konstella calendar!

6:30–7:30 PM – General Body Meeting & Middle School Panel
We'll start with a brief PTA update, including adoption of the 2025–2026 financial reconciliation, before moving into our annual Middle School Panel!

A group of Brentwood alumni who now attend different middle schools will join us to share their experiences and answer questions. We'll hear about Ann Richards, Kealing, Lamar, and more!

Fifth-grade families, bring your students! This is a great opportunity to learn more about what middle school might look like next year. Fourth-grade families are welcome, too!

The Brentwood Halloween Carnival is in one week! Join us on Saturday, 10/17 from 3-6pm for fun, food and frights.

We've got lots of amazing attractions this year, including a petting zoo, teacher dunk tank, bounce house, rock climbing wall, even a DJ.

Amazing news! Right now, Brentwood is sitting at #5 on the list of AISD's top PTAs by membership rate.

#5 out of 100 schools is incredible! (Though it feels like we could be #1, right?)

Our goal is to have at least one member for every student. Right now, we're at 473 members for 694 students. Pretty great, but we can do better.

Who can join? Parents, caregivers, grandparents, students, neighbors. And it's cheap - just $15 for adults and $6 for students

The more members we have, the larger our voice is with the state. This year, that matters more than ever.

It's a short but busy week!

Wednesday: Walk to School Day and Plant Sale, both before school
Thursday: Plant Sale before school and Halloween Carnival ice cream social and ticket presale after school
Friday: No school (which also means no bike bus)

And we're still looking for donations for the Carnival - we need stuffed animals and other small toys for prizes, as well as costumes and dress-up clothes. Drop your donations in the box in the Community Room this week!

Got stuffies to spare? Too many toys? Lots of leftover LEGOs? Crates of costumes?

We'll take them! We're collecting the following items for Halloween Carnival game prizes:

-Small trinkets and party favor type toys
-New or gently used clean stuffed animals
-Snack size bags filled with LEGO bricks
-Gently used costumes and dress up clothes
