The 980th EN BN conducted a field training exercise at JBSA for Battle Assembly. They started off the training with the weapons draw, staging and loading vehicles, radio check and convoy brief. After a successful convoy, the BN cross loaded their equipment into vehicles and established field posture. Meanwhile, the XO and Staff Section OICs were conducting mission analysis and plotting main routes, alternate routes, check points, water points. They utilized radios to contact each company’s Commander to provide them with the most up to date data. The night ended with Soldiers focusing on night driver’s training. The next day Soldiers set up fighting positions and practiced drawing sector sketches all while conducting Unit driven Hasty Jump Operations.
