What is the connection between soil and tree health? How can learning more about soil health contribute to our success in urban forestry? This beautiful and wide-ranging presentation reviews different types of local soils, has a technical section about soil properties, and shows examples of soil types as related to tree species. It ends with real-life local site examples of urban soil in different settings, especially as related to human activities on tree root zones. 🌱

The training will be at the Hornsby Bend Center for Environmental Research, 2210 FM973, Austin, TX 78725, with a virtual option for those who can not attend in person.
