Abortion pills are being mailed into Texas illegally with no in-person physician visit, no screening for coercion, and no accountability. Texas law prohibits it. Federal law prohibits it. Enforcement must catch up. Today is the court-ordered deadline for the FDA to update its mifepristone safety study. The FDA must complete the study, release its findings, and reverse course by reinstating the in-person physician visit requirement.

What does it take to go from failing to pass a parental notification bill to making abortion illegal in Texas? Nearly four decades of persistent, strategic, and compassionate pro-life work. This is the story of Texas Alliance for Life and the extraordinary individuals who make our efforts possible. However, we are not finished yet. The fall of Roe was a significant victory, but we must not confuse it with a finish line. Our goal is the permanent abolition of abortion, and to reach that goal, it is not enough for abortion to be illegal. It must become unthinkable. That is the mission we carry forward.
