TXTA and the North American Transportation Management Institute (NATMI) are offering several upcoming training opportunities focused on fleet safety, compliance, and professional development for transportation professionals.

Fleet Safety Certification Courses from June 22-26

From June 22–26, TXTA and NATMI will host two Fleet Safety Certification Courses at the TXTA offices in Austin, Texas. Both courses will run daily from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with certification exams scheduled for the morning of June 26. Hazardous Materials Training from August 25-26

TXTA and NATMI will also offer a comprehensive Hazardous Materials Training Course on August 25–26 at the McAnally-Wilkins Insurance office in Odessa, Texas. This specialized seminar uses a function-specific training approach designed to improve regulatory understanding and long-term knowledge retention. CVSA's International Roadcheck is next week - May 12-14. International Roadcheck is the largest targeted enforcement program on commercial motor vehicles in the world, with nearly 15 trucks and motorcoaches inspected, on average, every minute across North America during a 72-hour period.

Last but not least, the DFW Regional Truck Driving Championships wrapped up this past weekend in Midlothian, TX. This marks the third regional event in a spring series dedicated to advancing safety and professionalism across the industry. Congratulations to all the competitors who continue to raise the standard for excellence on the road.

FMCSA is preparing to transition to a new registration system, Motus, designed to improve security and streamline the user experience. While full implementation is still ahead, carriers should take a few key steps now to avoid complications later and update all information by May 14.

⏰ FMCSA will launch its new registration soon. Take critical action by May 14, 2026!

Log into the FMCSA Portal and make sure your account is active and your information is up to date before the May 14 deadline.

An active account will be required to access Motus, the new USDOT Registration System.

Houston brought the heat last weekend at the Regional Truck Driving Championship, where professional drivers got to showcase their precision, control, and safety under pressure.
