307 S. Main Street, Austin, Minnesota Built by Mr. Schleuder, a real estate magnate and contemporary of the Hormels. The widowed and childless Mrs.

Schleuder lived here her entire life, cared for into her advanced old age by a cook and housekeeper. The Downings bought the house, and added on, creating a thriving dental practice. They raised a large, well-known family in the house. The third owner was Mr. Bodensteiner, a local lawyer who still practices in town. Currently owned by the Hokanson Jacobs family.
