Austin Municipal Pool Update:
Austin Municipal Pool will be closed today due to unexpected mechanical issues and out of an abundance of caution for the safety of our pool patrons. The splash pad is free and will remain open today.
The primary issue involves the pool heating system, which has caused water temperatures to fall below safe and acceptable levels. The safety of our patrons and proper operation of the facility remain our top priorities.
City staff and contractors are working diligently to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. We are hopeful that repairs will be completed today and the pool will open tomorrow.
We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience and understanding. Please continue to follow our page for updates regarding the pool's reopening.
Thank you for your cooperation, and we look forward to welcoming everyone back to the pool soon!

Do you have an ash tree on your property?
We strongly encourage property owners to have ash trees inspected by a reputable tree professional. If ash trees have not been treated for Emerald Ash Borer, they will die.
Once ash trees decline, they become extremely brittle very quickly and can become dangerous to people, homes, vehicles, sidewalks, streets, and power lines.
Please do not wait until a tree is dead or losing large branches before taking action.
The City maintains a list of Licensed Tree Contractors:

HRA of Austin offers the WoodCHIP Program, which provides low-interest loans to income eligible, owner-occupied homes for tree removal, stump grinding, and approved replanting. Please follow the link below:
