Continuous training is the foundation of effective service. 🛡️🚔

We were proud to host a specialized training session last week, bringing together law enforcement professionals from across the county and our local partner agencies. It was a great opportunity to sharpen our skills and strengthen the bonds that help us keep our community safe.

A huge thank you to MVCPA for putting on this class and providing top-tier training for our teams!

Texas Thieves Had a Favorite Shopping List in April…

If your ride made the “Top 10 Most Stolen Vehicles in Texas” list this month, consider this your reminder to lock it, park smart, and don’t make it easy for criminals.

Auto thieves aren’t just targeting luxury vehicles anymore — they’re going after the cars, trucks, and SUVs Texans drive every single day.

Is your vehicle on the list?

Take a look at this month’s Top 10 stolen vehicles in Texas and see where your ride ranks.

Quick theft prevention tips:
• Lock your doors
• Remove valuables from sight
• Never leave keys or fobs inside
• Use steering wheel locks or tracking devices when possible
• Park in well-lit areas

Don’t let your vehicle become next month’s statistic.

Protect your vehicle from theft! 🚗🔒

Join the Travis County Auto Crimes Enforcement team at our FREE VIN Etching Event.

VIN etching permanently engraves your vehicle’s VIN onto its windows, helping law enforcement quickly identify and track your vehicle if it is ever stolen. As an added benefit, some insurance companies may offer discounted rates for using this theft-prevention measure.

🚨 Six stolen vehicles recovered. One arrest made. 🚔

This March, TCACE Detectives executed a series of search warrants that led to a significant recovery of stolen property and vehicles:

✅ 6 Stolen Vehicles Recovered (5 originally reported to APD).
✅ 1 VIN-swapped pickup truck seized.
✅ Stolen parts recovered, including a motor from a stolen vehicle and several license plates belonging to vehicles identified in theft investigations.
✅ 1 Arrest made by TCSO Patrol.

This case is a direct result of focused investigative work and strong coordination between our Detectives and TCSO Patrol. Their teamwork is essential to keeping these stolen vehicles off our streets and protecting our community.

Great work by everyone involved. 💪
