Yesterday we swore in our newest Commissioner, Hala Farid who stands alongside Jolene Keene (second from the left), who was sworn in on January.
We've been so lucky to get two outstanding community leaders on our Board of Commissioners this year.

We love to brag about them. Each person on our Board brings a plethora of experience, leadership, and advocacy for those we serve each day.

If you haven't met our Board of Commissioners yet, allow us to introduce you:
On the far left, we have our TCFC President, Sharal Brown. Next, we have our TCFC VP, Jolene Keene.
In the middle, Hala Farid. To Hala's right, stands our HATC Chair and HATC Foundation President, Laura Goettsche. To the right, is Wilmer Roberts, who is the VP of the HATC Foundation.

Our happy dance 🕺
All joy and smiles around here thanks to donors like you who are helping to make a difference in your community by donating to our foundation during Amplify Austin! 🥳🎉🌟

Please donate! Your donation can help provide a monthly bus pass for work, school, or medical appointments, support activities and enrichment for HATC seniors, provide groceries for a family facing financial hardship, cover textbooks, laptops, certification fees, or work uniforms, support academic incentives for HATC students, and even fund a scholarship for a HATC student pursuing higher education!! Phew...what a mouthful 😮‍💨
Tomorrow is the last day to donate!! 😀

HATC celebrates Women's History Month!
This Women’s History Month, we proudly recognize the women who have shaped the future of affordable housing and continue to strengthen our communities every day. From policymakers and advocates to property managers, residents, and leaders, women play a vital role in advancing affordable housing and expanding opportunity for families.

We are deeply grateful for the dedication, resilience, and leadership of the women who make stable housing possible and who help build stronger, more equitable communities for all. Our communities are stronger because of you.

Last month’s Golden Harvest Farmers Market at Manor Town was well attended, and residents were excited to see fresh strawberries available, along with a variety of other fruits and vegetables.

The market is open to residents aged 60 and older and takes place on the third Tuesday of each month. We encourage all eligible residents to participate.

A special thank you to the Central Texas Food Bank for their continued partnership in helping provide fresh, healthy produce to our senior residents.
