Robert Roberson’s case raises serious questions about new evidence, forensic science, and the possibility of a wrongful conviction.

Pat Dixon’s statement calls for Roberson’s exoneration, citing medical evidence and the former lead detective’s support for reconsidering the case. Dixon also says he would ask the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles to reconsider and pursue a pardon.

By nature of having a platform, the things said by candidates, party leaders, elected officials, and organizations hold significantly more weight than that of the average citizen. By standing on that platform, you assume additional responsibility for the things you say.

For that reason, it becomes imperative to condemn those people and organizations when they call for violence. Two libertarian principles stand starkly opposed to such calls: the non-aggression principle and freedom of association.

The non-aggression principle holds that no person has the right to initiate or instigate violence against another person or group. When people start calling for political violence, freedom of association should come into play which can look like censure, disaffiliation, or impeachment.

In recent years, it has been easy for people to condemn political violence from those outside their own ranks, but if we are to heal the world we share, each of us needs to have enough of a spine to hold our own to at least as high a standard as we hold the rest of the world.

Transparency starts with asking questions—and making the records public.

I requested Lamar County’s Flock audit records to understand who had access to the county’s automated license plate reader system, how it was being used, and what oversight was in place.

The records raised important questions about search activity, searches listed as “unknown,” former employees retaining system access, and generic accounts such as “Dispatch1.”

Lamar County residents deserve transparency and the opportunity to examine the records, public responses, and outstanding questions for themselves.

Libertarian Party of Texas Stands with Plaintiffs in Lawsuit Challenging Tarrant County Commissioners Court "Decorum Policy"

FORT WORTH, TX — The Libertarian Party of Texas has long held that governing is best done as close to home as possible because that is where it tends to be the most responsive and the most accountable to its constituents. However, according to numerous reports from Tarrant County citizens, Judge O’Hare has appointed himself the sole arbiter of what concerns the citizenry can bring before the court, how they can address those concerns, and has wielded that power with abandon. It is a core tenet of the US Constitution that the people have, not only the right to unabridged free speech, but the right to seek a redress of grievances against their government. How can grievances be addressed if they can’t even be spoken aloud? Of course, we think that’s precisely the goal of a “Decorum Policy” this Draconian. We will be watching the case closely as it develops and stand with the plaintiffs as they seek justice.

Defend Individual Rights. Protect Liberty. Limit Government Overreach.

Individual rights don’t disappear at the county line. My platform emphasizes protecting constitutional freedoms, defending the Second Amendment, and ensuring county government respects the rights of law-abiding residents.

My priorities include protecting lawful gun ownership, upholding due process, opposing the use of county tax dollars to enforce unconstitutional mandates, and limiting unnecessary government control.

Rights are not privileges granted by government—they are limits on government.

Two G***ks? Really?

The only crime we see is stealing the occupants’ guns, w**d, and v**e pens.

🚔 TRAFFIC STOP LEADS TO MULTIPLE ARRESTS & WEAPON SEIZURE

On Monday, September 07, 2026, Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Capitol Area Strike Team (CAST) Trooper conducted a traffic stop in East Austin after observing a red Buick displaying expired registration.

The vehicle was slow to stop and eventually came to a stop near Techni Center and Tannehill Lane. During the investigation, multiple occupants were instructed to exit the vehicle. One passenger fled on foot but was apprehended a short time later.

All four occupants were taken into custody. A subsequent search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of:

Two G***k pistols
One pistol equipped with a device capable of converting it to fully automatic fire
17 THC v**e pens
Five sealed bags containing ma*****na

None of the occupants claimed ownership of the items.

The occupants were charged with various offenses, including Prohibited Weapon, Possession of Controlled Substance, and Evading Arrest/Detention on Foot.

DPS remains committed to removing illegal weapons and controlled substances from our communities while keeping Texas roadways safe.
