This morning, an Austin Police Department was involved in a serious vehicle collision. He’s in critical condition.

Food, lodging, & flights for family members are being coordinated to assistance him & his family in this difficult time.

Ofc. Danielle met a new friend David today. He was outside w/his great grandmother helping in the garden. She stopped and let him see the lights per his request. They enjoyed some conversation about helping his great grandmother and he said he would be her partner for the day.

Congratulations to APD District Rep Officer Danielle for making the list for the upcoming “Leadership Austin Essential Class” cohort! She will be joining other thought leaders in a meaningful way discussing key community issues.

APD Region 3 DR's were invited to participate in the PPE giveaway event at the Mexican Consulate. We are grateful to be a part of a great event and cause.

Thank you to the APD Pipe and Drum Corps and Emergency Service Pipes and Dums Association for giving a beautiful memorial service at the Texas State Cemetary this morning to honor all who lost thier lives on 9/11. Out of 2,977 deaths that occurred that tragic day, 412 were first responders who to rushed in to perform thier duties. We will never forget the brave men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice to protect this nation.

Here is a repost regarding an upcoming “Resource Fair”

Austin Public Library is hosting a resource fair outside of the Terrazas branch next week, 9/3 from 10-2. They will distribute some basic supplies like food, PPE, hygiene supplies, books and 31 day bus passes. There will be Census enumerators and voter registrars on site for anyone wishing to participate. There will be Spanish and English speakers working the event, and can call the language line for any additional interpretation needs.
