Pictures from yesterday's "Community Connect" - previously known as Commander's Forums. No matter how far and in what direction APD District Representative officers are pushed, pulled and prodded - from days and evenings working backfill to ensure sufficient coverage for all parts of Austin to meeting up with concerned citizens in and throughout the City - these officers suite up, show up, and make it happen by word and deed - day after day, week after week, month after month and so on.

Here they are! - Yesterday evening our District Representative Officers, along with concerned citizens, gathered together at the Old Settlers Home on 1600 Payton Gin Rd in the 78758 area of town.

Oh, and of course we can find Bill and Anthony from our OCL office and joined with them is Lt. Rodriguez. Smile everybody!

This past Saturday saw OCL staff members Peter and Karen at the 23rd Annual ¡Sí Se Puede! Chávez March & Day of Action!, and Chief Mason was on hand to speak to the sizable crowd that had gathered in honor of Cesar Chavez, the great American labor leader and civil rights activist. In addition to great speeches, Mariachi music and baile folklorico were the order of the day!

The 4th Annual Trunk or Treat this past Saturday, the 28th of October, was a huge success! Law enforcement came in costumes and set up their vehicles to give out candy! And there was free pizza for everyone! From its opening at 5pm til closing at 8pm, it was perfect weather with beautiful clouds and a breathtaking sunset to top it off. It was a wonderful time!
