TRWA’s 2026 Infrastructure Survey is open through July 17.

We’re seeking input from water systems serving populations of 50,000 or less about anticipated infrastructure costs over the next 20 years. Your responses will help us advocate for Texas water and wastewater systems during the next legislative session.

Complete the survey by July 17 to be entered into a drawing for a $500 prize. Please submit one survey per system.

During National Apprenticeship Week, the National Rural Water Association announced that longtime sponsor Hawkins, Inc. is awarding ten $3,000 scholarships to support costs associated with apprenticeship programs.

These scholarships are available to eligible utility systems on behalf of current or future apprentices, including those planning to participate in TRWA’s July apprenticeship cohort.

Happy National Apprenticeship Week. This nationwide celebration highlights the role of Registered Apprenticeship in building a highly skilled workforce. This year’s theme, America at Work: Making America Skilled Again through Registered Apprenticeship, emphasizes the importance of developing career pathways for in-demand industries.

TRWA’s Apprenticeship Program supports this effort by providing hands-on training and real-world experience to help prepare the next generation of water and wastewater professionals across Texas.
