The INTO LIGHT Project, a national non-profit organization, presents powerful public exhibitions that share the stories and portraits of individuals who have lost their lives to drug addiction. Their mission is to transform the conversation around addiction through the impact of original art and personal narratives.
"Drug Addiction: Real People, Real Stories" is currently displayed at the School of Social Work, The University of Texas at Austin, through May 23, 2026.
Each exhibition features up to 30 original graphite portraits of individuals from the host state who have succumbed to drug addiction/poisoning or related causes, accompanied by professionally written stories about their lives. At the end of each exhibition, the family of the deceased receives the original portrait, professionally framed, of those lost.

April is Counseling Awareness Month!
Professional counselors help people gain personal insights, develop strategies, and come up with real-life solutions to the problems and challenges they face in every area of life. Powered by the American Counseling Association—more than 62,000 members strong—Counseling Awareness Month provides an opportunity to celebrate both the counseling profession and individuals who do this important work.
This year, we’re spotlighting mental health for children and adolescents, along with other information about how to effectively engage with professional counselors.

Thank you for participating in Amplify Austin Day!
This year, thanks to your collective giving, the Christi Center raised 80% of our goal on Amplify Austin's page. We raised $24,000 from 134 donors!
With offline gifts and gifts via our website, we surpassed our goal and raised $40,685!
It’s your generosity that helps create a better Central Texas for all of us. We rely on the support of our community to ensure that no one grieves the death of a loved one alone.
