Real talk, Wildcat families 📵 Texas law says phones AND smartwatches stay off and put away the entire school day — yes, even lunch. Do us a solid and don't text or call during the day (they can't answer anyway!). Need to reach your student? Call the front office at (512) 732-9240.

If the tech battles are happening at home too — join us Thursday, Oct 29 for "Creating Healthy Technology Boundaries with Children," 5:30–6:30 PM in the WRMS Library or from your couch. Open to WRMS & HCMS families! RSVP by Oct 23: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeH5mtNp7E_eQpYA1zXj4WBWjdiamifrAXhRAQJF7kn7c4wfg/viewform

💚 Learning, Leading & Growing Together! 🐾🎃

From teacher leaders and Canva Consults to ALPACA culture survey reflections, committee updates, and a pumpkin scavenger hunt, our WRMS PD was all about connection, collaboration, and campus culture!

We also reflected on student voice and trusted-adult relationships, connecting our work directly to our Campus Improvement Plan and our goal of ensuring every student feels seen, supported, and connected.

Stronger connections. Stronger culture. Stronger Wildcats! 💚🐾

🧹💚 Happy Custodian Day! 💚🧹

Today we’re celebrating the people who do so much behind the scenes to keep West Ridge running, welcoming, and ready for our Wildcats every day.

From the big jobs to the little things that often go unnoticed, thank you for everything you do for our school and our students. We appreciate you more than you know!

🐾💚 Happy Custodian Day to our amazing WRMS team!

🌟 October is a Month of Awareness

October gives us so many opportunities to learn, listen, celebrate, and support one another. 💙

From Dyslexia and Disability Employment Awareness to Bullying Prevention, Down Syndrome, Blindness Awareness, and National Principals Month—and Hispanic Heritage Month—we’re taking time to recognize the people, experiences, and communities that make our school and our world stronger.

Awareness leads to understanding. Understanding leads to belonging. 💚🐾

We talk about the hard stuff. 💚

Discipline. Mental health. Friendships. Big feelings. Tough choices. Growing up. Strategic Planning.

Our APs and counselors are there for more than just the tough moments—they’re here to listen, support, guide, and help our Wildcats work through whatever comes their way.

Because sometimes, the first step is simply having the conversation. 🐾

🐾 This Week @ The Ridge is packed! 💚

From Safety Week and drills to football, volleyball, NJHS, Dolly Parton Day—and a little Cane’s fundraising fun—there’s plenty happening with our Wildcats!

🍗 Don’t forget: Join us Tuesday from 5–9 PM at Cane’s and mention the fundraiser (or use code RCFUND96 online) to help support West Ridge Middle School!

There’s always something happening at West Ridge! 🐾💚

Focus groups. Hands-on learning. French food day. Volleyball. And maybe… a few things that are anything but knee pads. 😂🏐

Our Wildcats are learning, connecting, creating, collaborating, and having fun all over campus.

Just another day at WRMS! ✨
