2. what information to gather
3. how to feel more confident navigating this emotional and often overwhelming stage of life.
This session will help you and the important people in your life go from reactive to ready—with compassion, clarity, and confidence.
KIM'S BIO
Kim Barnes spent over 30 years on camera, as an award-winning television news anchor and reporter, TV and corporate spokesperson and film actor. She taught television news reporting at The University of Texas and runs Barnes Team Media, a communication training firm. But her most transformative work began when she and her husband, former sportscaster Mike Barnes, started navigating care for their parents in their 80s.
What started as their own caregiving journey became Parenting Aging Parents in 2021, a platform and private community now supporting more than 35,000 families nationwide. Kim & Mike have done more than 120 expert interviews and built a comprehensive resource library to help adult children manage one of life's most demanding transitions. They like to say, “We’re all in this together!”.
Kim is also a proud mom of two adult children.
The Food for Thought Series offers a gathering place where Hope’s friends/greater community can learn, share, and discover different topics while supporting a good cause!
