TDCJ VSD Regional Victim Services Coordinator (RVSC) Roman Sanchez recently attended the 2026 National Night Out (NNO) event hosted by the UT San Antonio Police Department (UTSAPD) at the UTSA - The University of Texas at San Antonio.

NNO focuses on bringing the community together with local law enforcement to foster community involvement and crime prevention awareness. The VSD expresses our thanks to UTSAPD Program Coordinator, Dubelsa Villarreal, and Community Engagement Sergeant, Eric Weber, for the invitation to attend this event. It was a privilege to provide an informational booth.

Today is Boss’s Day — a perfect opportunity to highlight our own TDCJ Victim Services Division (VSD) Director, Angie McCown.

The dangers of stalking are often minimized, but the impacts are real.

In honor of Month today, we are sharing a video from SPARC - Stalking Prevention, Awareness & Resource Center that explains how stalking can relate to intimate partner violence (IPV). Stalking and IPV often go hand-in-hand, so it is important that we raise awareness to the many ways abusers can maintain power and control.

The TDCJ Victim Services Division (VSD) is hiring a Customer Service Representative III in Austin, TX!

Duties include answering calls received on the TDCJ VSD hotline, responding to inquiries for information from victims, criminal justice professionals, and concerned citizens regarding an inmate's parole review status, assisting with registering them for notification from our Integrated Victim Services System (IVSS), and providing accurate information and appropriate referrals.

**Fortunately/ unfortunately this is NOT a remote work opportunity. But you DO get to be in the office with our awesome team in Austin!
