Happy Good Friday! 🇺🇸✝️

As we reflect this Good Friday, we remember the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, whose love and obedience in the face of suffering remind us that faith carries us through even the hardest moments and that God’s plan is always greater than our trials. Wishing you all a blessed Good Friday as we hold onto the promise that Sunday is coming!! ✝️

Today, on Good Friday, we remember the cross of Jesus Christ, where the Son of God willingly gave His life for the sins of the world. On that hill, our Lord bore the weight of our failures, our brokenness, and our debt, and through His sacrifice, offered redemption, mercy, and everlasting life.

Jesus laid down His life so that we might be forgiven, restored, and brought back into right relationship with God.

As we reflect today, may we humble our hearts before Him, give thanks for His sacrifice, and remember that by His wounds we are healed.

Dolores Huerta Foundation Sued For Labor Violations
Two major controversies are unfolding around the Dolores Huerta Foundation (DHF).
A lawsuit filed in September 2025 by former employee Ruth Sanchez accuses the foundation of retaliation, labor violations, misuse of grant funds, and nepotism. The case is ongoing, with a jury trial set for January 2028.
In March 2026, Dolores Huerta publicly accused late labor leader César Chávez of s*xual abuse dating back to the 1960s. The claim came shortly after a court hearing in the Sanchez case and following a 5 year New York Times investigation into Chávez that revealed allegations Chavez molested and assaulted young children. Huerta took the occasion to reveal she has two children with Chavez that she hid for 60 years.
Some critics question the timing, suggesting it may shift attention from the lawsuit, while Huerta says she spoke out to support other survivors.
As more details emerge, more scrutiny is being focused on the former labor leader as well as her nonprofit organization. This is a developing story.
