Important tournament info email went out yesterday morning - please reach out if you/your team captain didn't receive it!

1,600+ shirts are heading out this week to teams across the state—and even a few beyond Texas!

If you registered, keep an eye out for your team packet! Inside you’ll find your shirts plus some very special 30th anniversary surprises we can’t wait for you to see.

Shipping Note:
• Intact team shirts were sent to team captains
• Dispersed flock team shirts were mailed to individual team members when addresses were provided, and to team captains otherwise

We can’t wait to hear what you think when they arrive!

2026 TEAMS: A welcome email has gone out to all registered teams received through 7pm tonight (I'll send another out Thursday for teams that come in the final day of registration). If you didn't get a welcome email, your email was either entered incorrectly in the registration form OR you've unsubscribed from all TPWD emails and I wasn't able to add you to the list. I tried to send emails to everyone who has opted out of TPWD emails, letting you know how to opt in for just this year's Birding Classic team email list, so please look for that.

If you DID NOT receive a "Welcome Information: 2026 Birding Classic Teams!" email (check your junk folder as well) and you are the team captain of a team that has entered, please email me to make sure I have your registration and figure out how to get you added to the team email list for tournament updates.

There’s still time to register your team - registration deadline is this Wednesday, April 1!

There's still time to sign up for the Birding Classic - registration closes a week from tomorrow. As teams have signed up and we've talked to more participants, here are a few questions we'd like to make clear to everyone. Hopefully this helps as you finalize your team entry (or entries if entering more than one team!)! Have more questions? Throw them in the comments!

Frequently Asked Questions:
• When do we choose our tournament date?
You can register now and select your tournament date later. Simply email your team’s chosen date within 24 hours before or after completing your birding day(s).

• What if we need to change our date?
No problem! If weather, illness, or other circumstances require a change, just email us with your updated plans and complete your birding on any date from April 15 to May 15.

• Can we enter more than one team?
Yes! If you’re interested in participating in multiple categories, you can register more than one team. Just complete a separate registration and entry fee for each team, then enjoy your time birding in each category.
