The HT NAACP stands in full solidarity with the UT NPHC and students across the UT System defending academic freedom and student expression.

As a proud HBCU born from the fight for educational access, we know that limiting Ethnic & Gender Studies and restricting campus spaces are attacks on truth, culture, and community.

We stand for the right to learn freely, teach honestly, and celebrate our identities proudly.

We want to thank everyone who came out to HT Day at Wesley UMC! We had an incredible time reconnecting with our roots and hearing an inspiring sermon delivered by .marcusj

As we celebrate HT Day, we also take a moment to remember those who lost their lives to racial violence and lynching, the very injustices our organization, the NAACP, was founded to fight against on February 12, 1909.

HT fRAMily, it’s time to bring the tradition back home!

Austin’s culture is built on creativity, diversity, and resilience.

Removing the Black Artists Matter mural and the rainbow crosswalk erases symbols that honor the communities who shaped this city.

In 2023, Austin generated $381 million for TxDOT and had an economic output of $248 billion, our impact deserves respect, not removal.

We call on leaders to preserve these cultural landmarks and protect Austin’s legacy.

Save the date!

On November 4th, 2025, we’re hitting the streets to MARCH TO THE POLLS at Huston-Tillotson University!

Let’s make our voices heard, our votes count, and our power felt. Join the HT NAACP in the fight for change, because our vote matters more than ever.
