Ok Ladies, we have our ticket. Someone has to win and someone has to lose. You can have a day or two to be upset about your candidate losing, but then it’s time to get to work! We have a socialist woke agenda to beat in November! We will roll out our Victory Plan in July, but you can start working on VEP. (See the newsletter for more info on VEP) It’s time for us to lead by example, because we are where The RED Begins!

To celebrate the 250th Birthday of America, Salado Area Republican Women partnered with the Salado Ladies League to have a coloring contest and read historical stories to the students.

After much deliberation, we have a winner! We received some wonderful submissions to our 2nd Grade coloring contest. It was a tough decision to choose just one, but in the end, the choice was clear. Alma from Mrs. Craig’s 2nd Grade class was very creative and ultimately won the nomination for 1st place. As the winner, Salado Area Republican Women gifted her family a $50 gift card to The Pizza Place on Main Street, Salado.

Newly elected State Senator Brett Ligon, SD4, recognizes the power of Republican Women members. He showed his appreciation for their support during his special election campaign against a Democrat by inviting them to his Watch Party at the end of election day on May 2. Senator Ligon's wife, Shannon, is a member of North Shore Republican Women/TX, and she joined her husband in a photo with NSRW President Tammy Coleman, and members Ann Kate, and Denise Baker. Several Republican Women from counties in Senate District 4 were on hand for a group photo and to cheer the favorable ballot results for Ligon.

Wise Republican Women hosted National Day of Prayer on May 7th at their newly renovated courthouse. With citizens and members, they joined groups all over the nation praying for our country, the leadership, and celebrating, not only 250 years of freedom, but 75 years of coming together for this wonderful event. The County Judge made a special proclamation for the 75th anniversary, and a blessing over the county was read by a Justice of the Peace and Wise RW member, Kim Redman. They had all four living generations represented. It was truly a beautiful day.

President Jill Tate and First VP Bergundi Cain attended the 78th anniversary of the State of Israel in Houston with the Consulate General of Israel to the Southwest Livia Link-Raviv. It was a beautiful ceremony and the Consul General remembered us and commented on what an incredible convention we had and encouraged us to invite her successor to our next convention. TFRW stands in solidarity with Israel and against the antisemitism that is a growing epidemic in our country.
