🎉 Great news! Our library has been awarded a generous grant from the Texas Bar Foundation to develop the Texas Legal Oasis Project.

The project will create a free online training course for public librarians, giving them the tools and confidence to help community members find reliable legal information.

Librarians will learn how to:

• Point people toward trustworthy legal resources.
• Make referrals to the right organizations and professionals.
• Answer basic questions about common legal topics like divorce, landlord/tenant issues, and estate planning.
• Stay within the boundaries of their role (provide information, not legal advice).

Since its inception in 1965, the Texas Bar Foundation has awarded more than $30 million in grants to law-related programs. Supported by members of the State Bar of Texas, the Texas Bar Foundation is the nation's largest charitably-funded bar foundation.

The library will be closing at noon on Friday, April 3rd. We will re-open with regular library hours on Monday, April 6th, at 8:00 a.m.

The library will be closed from 8 a.m. until 12 p.m. on Tuesday, March 17th, for a staff meeting.

The library will be closed on Monday, February 16th, in observance of Presidents' Day. We will re-open on Tuesday, February 17th, at 8:00 a.m.

The library will re-open at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 27th.

Due to inclement weather, the library's physical location will be closed on Monday, January 26th. We will still be available via phone and email.

The library will be closed on Monday, January 19th, in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. We will re-open with regular library hours on Tuesday, January 20, at 8:00 a.m.

The library will close at noon on Wednesday, December 31st and remain closed on Thursday, January 1st, in observance of New Year's Day. We will re-open with regular library hours on Friday, January 2nd, at 8:00 a.m.

The library will be closed Wednesday, December 24th through Friday, December 26th for Christmas. Our physical location will also be closed Monday December, 22nd and Tuesday, December 23rd, but librarians will still be available for research assistance by phone and e-mail.

The library will close at noon on Wednesday, November 26th, and will remain closed through Friday, November 28th, in observance of Thanksgiving. We will re-open on Monday, December 1st, at 8:00 a.m.
