The TPWD Recreation Grants/ Local Parks Grant Program is now accepting applications to assist local communities with the acquisition and/or development of public recreation areas and facilities throughout the State of Texas.

Come to Lockhart State Park for a fun and FREE outdoor skills workshop exclusively for girls ages 10-18!

Join us on Saturday, June 7 for a morning of archery, fishing, and air rifle! No experience needed and all equipment provided. This workshop is FREE for all participants and their families. We're even going to raffle off some prizes at the end!

Life is Better Outside-- Rain or Shine!! What an amazing Texas State Park trip for 2024 CO-OP Grantee, Alief Montessori Community School. This project supports youth outdoor leadership skills, with students researching parks and leading trip planning, camp set-up and take down, cooking and cleaning an outdoor kitchen, First Aid, Leave No Trace, and even a dutch oven cook-off. Thank you to the school leadership and teachers for all the time and effort it takes to ensure a successful grant project!
