The UTSP Academy instructs the basic licensing course to cadets and in-service training to officers. System Board of Regents on December 8, 1967.
The University of Texas System Police Academy was created by unanimous vote of the U.T. The first training class of peace officers graduated in 1968. UT System Police Academy would like to thank all of the instructors that were able to come out and get the cadets patrol rifle certified. Patrol rifle is not a required TCOLE block of instruction, but as an agency we have made it a priority to provide this to our cadets.
