36th Infantry Division Band

The 36th ID Band has been BUSY. Even when we don't have instruments in our hands, we promise we're always up to something!

We have had a lot of high performing soldiers in our unit lately. While we don't have a chance to share all of our accomplishments in the unit, we can guarantee you that we're celebrating internally and are very proud. Congratulations to all of our recently promoted soldiers!

Happy New Year from the Lone Star Band!

The support of our friends and family is vital to the 36th Infantry Division Band. Like all military units, we couldn’t do what we do without them! Each year, we set aside a day to welcome them into our space and share what we've been working on in a meaningful and enjoyable way.

This year, our Music Performance Teams put on a mix of short sets, from Wickedly amazing tunes to radio spots that might just land us a second career. It was a great day, and we’re excited to share some moments from it.

We are happy to announce another promotion this year!

Congratulations to Joel Bernal on his well-earned achievement to Sergeant First Class. SFC Bernal consistently exceeds Army standards and sets the tone for what right is right. As a skilled musician, dependable leader, and trusted member of the team, he brings a level of excellence that elevates those around him. His dedication to his soldiers and his craft speaks volumes, and we’re proud to serve alongside him.

Help us celebrate newly promoted, SSG Christopher Wright!

SSG Wright leads the trumpet section in the Lone Star Band with professionalism and dedication, setting a strong example for his team. His commitment to excellence inspires those around him to perform at their best. We have some amazing NCO's in our unit and we know SSG Wright will continue to lead the way.

Congratulations to SGT Stephanie Doo on her recent promotion. SGT Doo's positive attitude, willingness to help others, and behind-the-scenes work, such as keeping our music library in top shape, make a huge impact on the unit. This promotion is well-deserved and it was a great day seeing how much all of her friends and family support her.

Our Independence Day concert is officially sold out at the Brauntex Theatre!

If you aren't able to make it, we will be performing all over the state this week so hopefully we will see you there. From the parades in North Austin to Kaboom Town in Dallas, we are going to have a busy week.
