SMA Spring Meetings wrapped up today after two days of collaboration. Executive Committee leadership, the Board of Directors, Foundation Trustees, and key committees all came together to share updates, tackle important initiatives, and talk about next steps. SMA Executive Director John D. Esparza joined two former SMA chairmen in Washington, D.C. this week for ATA’s Call on Washington, meeting with Members of Congress, congressional staff, and federal regulators to advocate for the moving and storage industry. These conversations help ensure the voices of movers and the broader trucking industry are heard as important policy decisions are made on Capitol Hill.

Texas trucking leaders from SMA and the Texas Trucking Association are taking their message straight to Capitol Hill this week, and bringing their voices from across the Lone Star State to the nation’s capital. On March 3, a delegation of 25 members and staff will meet with Texas lawmakers in Washington, D.C., to discuss transportation and supply chain issues.
